Chinese Petroleum Corporation

Company
Background:
Established in Shanghai in 1946, the Chinese Petroleum Corp. (CPC)
was funded and operated by the government under the direction of the
Resources Committee. In 1949, CPC followed the government in
relocating to Taiwan, setting up headquarters in Taipei under the
direction of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. With service
facilities all over the island, its operations include the active
exploration, development, refining, transportation, marketing and
sale of petroleum and natural gas, as well as the production and
supply of petrochemicals. The CPCˇ¦s total capital stands at NT$130.1
billion, and its total sales turnover totaled NT$564.9 billion in
2004.
CPC
launched the first self-service petrol filling station in Taiwan in
December 2004. Credit cardholders and CPC Fuel cardholders could
enjoy greater discount if they refill the fuel by themselves. CRC
explained that it is because the operational cost in self-service
station is lower so they could give customers greater discount. CPC
believes that self-service will be the trend for station operators
in future.
Innovision supplies
the
GasEasy™ Point-of-Sales system, BackOffice system, HeadQuarter
system and DiT payment system
